Objective

To refresh the Mendix Platform explainer video, aligning it with recent software updates and the new branding. The updated version is intended for use across various channels, including web platforms, events, and sales materials.

Approach

We developed a narrative following Alex, a product manager at the fictional bike company Lato, to depict a typical Mendix workflow. Collaborating with an in-house designer, we combined 2D and 3D collage elements, incorporating blueprint aesthetics and puzzle-like components over high-contrast yet friendly photographic imagery. This visual style was chosen to reflect the platform's modular nature and hands-on approach.

Outcome

The animation has been utilized across various platforms, including online channels, events, and sales presentations. Feedback indicates that it effectively conveys the platform's features and updates in a clear and engaging manner.
